I am opposed to the Cobb Commission’s plan to sneak the Braves into Cobb at the taxpayers’ expense.
The city of Atlanta has “enjoyed” the benefits of hosting the Braves for years and yet for some reason they don’t feel that it is worth paying another $200 million for renovations to Turner Field to keep the Braves in Atlanta. Maybe because the economic benefits do not add up.
I have no doubt that 10 years from now the multi-millionaire owners of the Braves will be blackmailing Cobb taxpayers for a new or upgraded stadium. Stop this corporate welfare now.
