Two people are dead following a traffic wreck north of Wade Green Road on Interstate 75 North.

At least seven vehicles were involved in the wreck that happened about 2:20 p.m., Officer Michael Bowman, spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department said.

The victim was in a car that was struck by another vehicle and caught fire. Bowman did not know if injuries from the crash or the fire led to the victim’s death.

Police officers are still investigating the cause of the accident but have opened up the left emergency lane of I-75 North.
