Francis Dean Leming, 90, of Marietta died Sunday, November 3, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta with Rev. Johnny Foster and Rev. Mike Hatton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Mr. Leming was a graduate of Osborne High School Class of 1941. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Mr. Leming was a Music Director, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Evelyn’s husband, Mike and David’s Dad, uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; a friend and confidant to many; a hard worker for Southern Railway; and a WWII Veteran. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 34 years of service, and was a 70 year member of the Machinist Union. Survivors include two sons, Mike (Doris) Leming of Marietta; David (Anita) Leming of Kennesaw; one granddaughter, Alicia (David) Ivey of Temple; one great-grandchild, Olivia Ivey. He was predeceased by his spouse, Evelyn Leming, parents, George and Estelle Leming; siblings, Emily Lamb, George Leming, Jr., Hollis Leming, Eddie Leming, Charlie Leming, Dan Leming, Winifred Clifton; special friends, Deane Schrimsher and William Gribble. Family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. 770-428-1511.
