Mrs. Ruth V. Chadwick, Anderson, Ridings, Barrentine, age 93 of Marietta, GA; passed away October 24, 2013 in the home of her daughter Vickie Ridings, Strickland in Jonesboro, AR. She was born September 13, 1920 in Ellijay, GA. She was a member of the Awtrey Westwood Baptist Church in Acworth, GA; member of Benson Heights Garden Club and member of the Promise Land Saddle Club in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Barrentine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Effie Long, Chadwick of East Ellijay, GA; siblings, Keith and Zed Chadwick of Ellijay, GA; Carrie Lee (Sue) Kirby, Harring of Cumming, GA. Survived by her children; Barbara Jo Bird of Norcross, Sheralyn Musser, Sanford of Acworth, Mike Ridings of Springhill, TN, Vickie Ridings, Strickland of Jonesboro, AR; grandchildren, Hank Bird of Duluth, GA; Terry Bird of Unionville, TN; Scott Musser of Locust Grove, GA; Danny Musser of Woodstock, GA; Joey and Tyler Ridings of Springhill, TN; Denny Strickland of Nashville, TN; 15 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday Oct. 31 at 11 AM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge funeral home with Rev. Robert Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Section M at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 and 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
