Reasons obvious why left dislikes tea party

DEAR EDITOR:

It is well known that Obama, the liberals, the Democrats, and the media have a bitter dislike for the tea party. They are discrete in not letting the general public know exactly what it is about the tea party that makes them so irate. The reasons are obvious.

The tea party is opposed to a one-man government, a one-man Senate, uncontrolled spending, special treatment for Congress staff and friends, an inept Congress, a disregard for the Constitution, secrecy in government, and disregard for the obscene debt, a biased IRS and not taking responsibility when things go wrong.

@Guido: Once again you are twisting the story of the killing of OBL to suit your needs. President Obama never claimed he killed OBL. More Fox lies.

I always enjoy watching your head explode.

Lib, please go back to school and take a couple of courses in reading comprehension. Nowhere did I say that Obama had claimed he killed bin Laden. But, there is no shortage of liberal loonies who allude to that scenario.

bin Laden was located and killed as a result of information received through "enhanced interrogation", following a plan put into effect during the Bush Administration. Please note, I did not say that Bush put the plan into action. He, like Obama, was most probably totally unaware of the details of the plan.

Try to keep up and don't spend so much time thinking you look clever because of your trite little nonsensical sayings.

"The Tea Party is opposed to one man government (I'm the decider, I'm the one who decides), uncontrolled spending (Iraq War, Medicare Part D), disregard for the Constitution (enhanced interrogation), not taking responsibility when things go wrong (9-11, Katrina),etc, etc,." Except when the Republicans are doing it, then they have no problem with it at all.

Are you daft? Bush did not not go to war in Iraq without congressional approval. Medicare Part D was passed by congress. Enhanced Interrogration has provided us with information needed to protect our miltary, including the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden, so the SEALS (not Obama) could kill him. Neither 9-11 nor Katrina could have been prevented by Bush, or any other individual.

You're clutching at straws and look somewhat inept in the effort.

To those of you who are ignorant: The mission of the tea party is: To persuade and encourage congress to follow the U.S. Constitution and to promote limited government. There is a division of power, designed by our founding fathers and clearly spelled out in this document. The people who are unaware (ignorant) should educate themselves by reading the Federalist Papers, if you have trouble understanding the Constitution.

@Palmer: The mission of the TP is to be disruptive, hold the country and its economy hostage by any means necessary and the rest of the GOP is listening to these nut balls. Why, because they can't stand who is in the White House, yes, its personal with them.

A 2009 report by the Center for American Progress (CAP) examining the affordable care act says it (Obama) advocates pairing patients and doctors of the same race and channels taxpayer dollars to that goal. Who's the racist? Who wants to reintroduce segregation?

The Daily Caller has more: http://dailycaller.com/2013/10/20/obamacare-seeks-to-segregate-patients-doctors-by-race/#ixzz2iwXxnIib

Let's see we Progressives hate the TP. Is this the same TP who spat upon US Congressman Cleaver? Is this the same TP who held signs depicting President Obama as a monkey? Is this the same TP who held up confederate flags in front of The White House? Is this the same TP who promoted the birther movement?

That TP?

BTW, I never capitalize "confederate".

No sir, it's NOT the same party.

You just think if you repeat it enough all the dummies will start believing you. Maybe that's been a bit successful, but it hasn't stopped good Americans from standing up against tyranny and government corruption.

@anonymous: "Standing up to tyranny". I think its more personal than that. The "wingers" can't stand the idea that a liberal, black man with a Muslim name dared to become and REMAIN president. The TP/GOP has refused to negotiate on anything. If The Affordable Care Act was the idea of Bush 1 or 2 you would be abusing yourself. I will remind you, that Romney began a very similar healthcare plan in MA, but that's fine with you.

Basically what has happened since 2010 is, the GOP can't have the White House so they are breaking the chops of our democratically twice elected president, that should be crystal clear to all.

Mr. Parker is smoking more tea party exhaust.

Liberals hate the tea party???!!! No, conservatives hate the tea party:

At the height of the budget negotiations a Pew Research poll showed the Tea Party’s unfavorable rating at 49%. This loss of esteem crosses all party lines, but the decline was most notable among moderate and liberal Republicans who, down from 46% favorability in June, boast a mere 27% favorability rating of the Tea Party.

Wrong. The Tea Party is an extreme right wing, serious, irrational, Christian dominionist cadre who would like nothing better than to dismantle and destroy our secular government and replace it with a theocratic state. These are not merely "conservatives" or even "christian conservatives," they are dangerously radical.

First you ignored it, then you smeared it, now you continue to smear it.

Tea Partiers know who they are and what they stand for. We are the people who feel a responsibility to keep our country free, free from tyranny. It's pretty simple.

All that other stuff is just baloney.

Guido, I suppose the fact that Paul Broun, Ted Cruz, Phil Gingrey, and an entire clown car of Teahadists are on video actually saying insane things still qualifies as "liberal opinion" in your deluded world?

Your inability to distinguish fact from fiction is frightening.

@TooFunny - you really are a piece of work. I ask for substance and you direct me to series of liberal opinion pieces, containing zero documentable evidence.

I think Laura is right. You probably are Foley, trying to be cute.

Laura, I'm not Kevin. If newspaper columns and letters to the editor were your only guide, I can see how easy a mistake that might be to make; but believe it or not there are actually other rational people in Cobb County.

How can you say Tea Party nut jobs aren't driven by social issues? Their whole MO is to remove social safety nets for the poor and working class, restrict women's rights, slather the nation with firearms, and dismantle the federal government.

Congratulations, you've hitched your wagon to a group of people who have gone beyond obstructionism; let's just call it what it is: “destructionism.”

@Too Funny (Kevin Foley, in all probability)

1. It was duly elected representatives who "shut the government down" after the president would not come to the table. All legitimate, no citizen Tea Partiers involved. 2. I'm fairly sure Gingrey was elected long before the Stimulus Bill outraged citizens so much they decided to protest Big Government, so wrong there. 3. NO Tea Partiers I know have put any social issue on the radar. You liberals like to keep bringing them up to distract from the wasteful, corrupt crony capitalism that's the mark of the Obama presidency. NO Bid Healthcare website contract, anyone?

@Too Funny. Sorry but your hate filled rehetoric does not translate to any tangbile facts.

You call names and make accusations, but you offer no substance to back up what you say.

In effect, you come off as nut job out to spread hatred of those wiht whom yu disagree.

Typical liberal tactic.

You are indeed, "too funny". So much so that I am somewhat surprised you are not a resident of a rubber room, with bars on the door.

Sam and Laura, your vaunted Tea Party de facto leader, Ted Cruz, is the son of a full time dominionist whack job. Tea Party congressmen are almost without exception, scientifically illiterate, misogynistic, bigots: (Paul Broun, Louie Gohmert, Phil Gingrey, etc.) It is the Tea Party who gleefully shut the government down. It is the Tea Party who would like to thwart or destroy the progress we have made on marriage equality, environmental protection, science education, etc. No. It is radical and dangerous because it’s all about irrational ideas and unhinged ideology.

I've been to Tea Party rallies, written about them and consider myself a Tea Partier. I don't want to destroy our government, just make it less intrusive and derail those who want it to continue on the road to tyrannical. (hear about the govt shutting down a middle school car wash the other day?)

Who wants a "theocratic state"? Not me, nor any other Tea Partier I know. And dangerously radical applies to the Occupy movement, not my group of stroller pushing mommas and veterans with walkers and in wheelchairs. You've likely never even talked to a Tea Partier...in any case, your dishonesty is astonishing and proves why we need the Tea Party. To fight liars such as yourself.

Too funny, they are only insane things because you do not agree with them.

Your "facts" are a direct result of your bias and inability to think beyond what you are told by the liberal loonies to whom you listen.
