Richard D. Aghajanian, Sr. of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He was born August 20, 1926 in New York to John and Estella Aghajanian, he was raised in Chelsea, MA. During WWII, Dick trained at Ft. Benning, GA and served as a paratrooper in the United States Army 11th Airborne Division, 511th Signal Company. After the war, he attended Georgia Tech and was employed by Lockheed Aircraft Corp. for 36 years, retiring in 1987. He was the devoted husband of 48 years to Ruth Aghajanian, until her death in 1999, and he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle. Dick was the beloved brother of the late Vahan Aghajanian, and surviving siblings Rose Jordan, Nishan Aghajanian, and Anita Assarian. A service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Those desiring may contribute in his memory to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care.
