A Holly Springs woman was arrested Oct. 12 after police say she shoplifted $1,029 worth of merchandise from a Wal-Mart on Chastain Meadows Parkway. Kristin Smith, 34, is accused of attempting to take items from the store including a computer, a Blu Ray DVD player, women’s clothing and wart remover. These items and others were placed in Wal-Mart shopping bags and a cart, which Smith tried to remove from the store.

Jail records indicate Smith remained in jail Friday on a $5,720 bond.
