Warrant: Student had knife at school

Louis Hamilton Evans of Powder Springs was arrested at his home Sept. 27 on charges of carrying a weapon in a school safety zone.

According to the warrant, Evans is accused of having a 3 1/2 inch blade folding knife on him when he was at McEachern High School on New Macland Road in Powder Springs.

He was released the next day on a $5,000 bond, according to jail records.

Aww geez. It was just his fishin' knife. He forgot to leave it in his car!

Enough is enough with keeping our children safe from those who will bring weapons to school!

Just let the kids bring whatever they want to school and let the market sort it out.
