MARIETTA — A teenager was arrested on the Osborne High School campus Friday afternoon after police say he had a handheld Taser in his possession.

Christian Daniel Oramas of Smyrna was charged with a felony count of carrying a weapon in a school safety zone.

The warrant stated Oramas was “sparking (the Taser) during a pep rally out on the football field bleachers” when a school administrator saw it in his hands.

Oramas was released Saturday on a $5,000 bond. If convicted, the crime would carry a penalty of two to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
