KENNESAW — A Marietta woman was arrested Sept. 19 by the Kennesaw Police Department and charged with stealing $16,664 worth of merchandise from her employer.

The warrant stated that starting in June and ending last week, Jaime Gumbs used her access as an employee of the Global Solutions/ AT&T retailer at 2953 North Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw to remove iPhones and Samsung Galaxy mobile devices from the store.

Gumbs used previous account holders’ information, such as names and addresses, to “purchase” the cellphones, the warrant stated.

The theft was discovered by an internal audit, the warrant stated, and “Gumb’s name was on every invoice that showed cellphones were being purchased by the customer.”

Gumbs was charged with a felony and jailed a $20,000 bond.
