According to the warrant, Jalen Smith, disguised in a mask and wearing gloves, used a semiautomatic handgun to rob an employee who placed the money into a duffle bag per Smith’s instructions.
The warrant stated Smith then fled the restaurant and got into a burgundy Acura Vigor driven by Terry Lee Magby.
A witness saw the license plate of the car, which was registered to Smith’s family member.
The two men were found in the car a few hours later near Magby’s home, the warrant stated.
Magby matched the description of the driver given by witnesses, and later told Cobb County police he and Smith robbed the Taco Bell, according to the warrant.
Both men were charged with felony counts of armed robbery and have not been released.
