James Anthony Harper of Marietta has been arrested on charges of felony theft by receiving after police say he paid a co-worker $50 to pawn stolen property.

Police say Harper admitted to knowing a Taylor guitar, Ibanez electric guitar, Marshall guitar amp and flat-screen television were “most likely” stolen.

Harper said he purchased the items “off the street” and said he did not have identification to pawn the items.

He was released Wednesday on $6,000 bond.
