Oraib Obeidat of Acworth faces charges of misdemeanor battery and terroristic threats, a felony, after allegedly attacking and threatening a student in a classroom at Wheeler High School on Sept. 5.

The warrant reports that Obeidat, in the presence of a teacher and students, “made verbal threats to shoot and kill” a 17-year-old student at Wheeler. She is also accused of striking the student in the face and knocking the student to the floor. No injuries were reported.

Obeidat, 42, resides in the 4000 block of Arbor Field Parkway in Acworth and was arrested and booked into the Cobb County jail on Sept. 5. She was released the next day on a $5,000 bond.

This story is awfully vague. Was this woman a parent? A substitute teacher? She has an Acworth address and was in a Cobb County classroom in East Cobb? How did she get inside the school? A few pertinent details would be nice.
