John Dixon, founder and president of Marietta-based John Dixon & Associates, was recently inducted into the National Auctioneers Association's Hall of Fame at its annual convention at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis. He was one of three people named to the group, which has admitted only 140 members in its history. John Dixon & Associates, 200 Cobb Parkway N., Suite 120 in Marietta, is an auctioneer of bank-owned properties. Dixon has been in the auction business since 1976 and has served in numerous leadership roles in the industry, including service as a director of the NAA and as president of the Georgia Auctioneers Association. Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle LLC, 3330 Silver Comet Trail in Cumberland, announced the election of its partner Jonathan J. Tuggle as chairman of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. The Family Law Section, with more than 1,800 members, is the third largest section of the State Bar. He assumed the role on July 1. Tuggle has practiced as a litigation attorney for 15 years. For the last 13 years, he has devoted his practice exclusively to family law. He works with clients involved in complex divorce cases and a range of other family law matters. In 2004, he founded the Family Law Committee of the Younger Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, which to date has raised more than $100,000 for abused and neglected adolescents in Atlanta, and Georgia Legal Services, a statewide nonprofit law firm providing civil legal services to low-income Georgians.
Katy Ruth Camp was recently named development director for The Georgia Ballet. Camp is responsible for special events, fundraising, donations, corporate sponsorships, grants, community relations and development programs for the Marietta-based nonprofit. Camp has previously served as the business editor for the Marietta Daily Journal.
The Edge Connection, a nonprofit organization serving Atlanta-area microentrepreneurs, is pleased to announce that Terri ElHaddaoui has been appointed its new Chief Executive Officer. ElHaddaoui previously served as the organization's Chief Operating Officer.

Curry is owner and president of Coxe Curry & Associates in Atlanta, a fundraising consulting firm serving nonprofit organizations in greater Atlanta and throughout Georgia.
Since she acquired Coxe Curry in 1993, the firm has more than quadrupled in size and greatly diversified and expanded its client base in metro Atlanta.
Heidi Baltz, general manager of Red Lobster, 2626 George Busbee Parkway in Kennesaw, recently was presented with Darden Restaurants' top honor - the Joe R. Lee Diamond Club Award, which is named after the company's first chairman and CEO. Now in its 16th year, the award is presented annually to general managers throughout North America who demonstrate outstanding leadership by living Red Lobster's core values of respect, integrity, genuine caring, hospitality and teamwork while also achieving top financial performance in the company's previous fiscal year. This year, Baltz joins a group of 34 general managers selected from the more than 700 Red Lobster restaurants in North America.
C.W. Matthews gets contract
Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a $176 million contract to Marietta-based C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. Inc., to build managed toll lanes along Interstate 75 between State Route 155/McDonough Road and State Route 138/Stockbridge Highway in Henry and Clayton counties. Initial work is likely to begin later this year and the lanes are projected to be open to traffic by the end of 2016.
