Jay Cunningham, the owner of Superior Plumbing, is known to many as "the honest plumber" on radio and TV ads, but now he needs your help. He's going to great lengths to find his dog, Petey, who has been missing since Sunday.

Petey, a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix, jumped out of Cunningham's RV at a charity event at Turner Field on Sunday and has not been seen since. Cunningham's family is heartbroken, so he's doing everything he can to find Petey-- including buying an electronic billboard next to Turner Field in hopes someone will recognize the dog.

Cunningham told FOX 5 he has also been busy passing out fliers in neighborhoods around the stadium. His employees have jumped in to help with the search, and so has his 10-year-old dog, Gunner. The Cunninghams hope Gunner can lure Petey back to them.

I mean, I feel for him an all...

But why is his missing pet any more important than that of anyone else that it warrants a dedicated "news" article?

Possibly because he is offering $2000 as a reward and buying billboard signs.

I have lost a beloved dog before. I would have spent all the money in the world and shouted from every rooftop if I could have. I would have been on every news show that would have me. Fortunately, I found mine but it was pure heartbreak for a couple of days. I don't blame the man. I would use every piece of media I could get my hands on. I hope we will read a happy story that Petey is back home where he belongs.

Look, the news is finally not related to race, war, or politics and you complain. Sounds like your just jealous of how society seemed to go an extra step to help a well respected person in our community try to find his dog. Maybe if you weren't such a conceded hateful person who genuinely cared about other people you wouldn't have to post your mess as RandomCitizen and some one else would have gave a flip when you lost your dog.
