MARIETTA — Cobb County police arrested Chandra Weems on Aug. 24 on a felony count of manufacturing a controlled substance.

The warrant stated that officers found five separately potted marijuana plants on the front porch on Dry Creek Road, behind Pope High School in northeast Marietta.

When the officers searched Weems’ kitchen, they found a bottle of fertilizer and instructions for growing marijuana, according to the warrant.

Weems was released the next day on $15,000 bond.

What a bunch of backwoods bumpkins. Using our resources like that (everyone of these simple marijuana arrests costs the taxpayer between 9,500 to 18,000 dollars in paperwork and judicial fee's, man hours, resources etc, this is fact), the officers should be fired for even worrying about it. 5 plants on porch, sounds like the place for plants to me. Good God.
