The Lady Wildcats scored five runs in the top of the eighth to build a 14-9 lead, but the Lady Indians used four RBI drag bunt singles to set the stage for Virden.

Becky Collins was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, Brianna Hubbert was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, Cargle had two hits including a double with two RBIs and Mariah Bic added a double and an RBI.

Mount Paran Christian 9, Walker 1 (5 inn.): Mount Paran beat Walker by eight runs despite getting just four hits and making three errors. Walker meanwhile, scored just one run on seven hits and two errors.
The Lady Eagles took advantage of inconsistent pitching, especially in the second when they scored seven runs. They loaded the bases on three straight walks before Courtney McKenzie and Caroline Reilly came through with RBI hits. Mount Paran also scored runs in the inning on wild pitch and a hit batsman.
Emily Harrell pitched all five innings and is 3-1 on the season.
Mount Paran (4-2, 1-0 in Region 6A) will play at Lovett today.
Sprayberry 6, Whitefield Academy 1: Julia Abney was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBIs.
Abney hit a two-run double in the top of the third to help the Lady Yellow Jackets take a 4-0 lead. She added an RBI triple in the seventh.
Charlie Smith pitched all seven innings, giving up two hits with 11 strikeouts.

Kell 4, Pope 2: The visiting Lady Longhorns scored three runs in the second and tacked on another in the third to hold off Pope in a Region 5AAAAA game.
Taylor Colslasure singled to the short stop to begin the three-run second and Jill Torres walked to put runners on first and second before Natalie Parlato hit an RBI double. Abby Glass added an RBI on a groundout and Addie Scott had a sacrifice bunt that scored Parlato.
Hannah McKinley and Sierra Shipley both reached on errors to start the third inning. Grave White singled to center to score McKinley.
Sierra Shipley was 1-for-4 with a double for Kell (5-1, 2-0). Gracie White was 1-for-4 with a single. Taylor Colclasure was 1-for-2. Natalie Parlato was 1-for-4 with a double.
Sarah Howard pitched all seven innings for Kell to earn the victory.
Quenton Staton, Ellie Viland, Megan Metzinger and Ellyn Strother all went 2-for-4 for Pope.
