Need inspiration? Go to the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art to see Metro Montage XIII. The annual juried exhibition features the work of talented artists from around the country. The exhibition will be on display through Sept. 15.
Every year, Metro Montage is the museum’s most well attended show.
“We have over 600 images submitted and only 70 pieces which can be accepted, so it is really the best of the best,” said Sally Macaulay, executive director of the museum.
Adera Causey from the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, Tenn., judged the exhibition putting together an excellent montage of medium.
“Metro Montage XIII offers something that everyone will enjoy from beautifully sculpted clay to incredible oils,” Macaulay said.
The show offers a unique and wide range of mediums.
“Sculptures of clay and bronze, oils, pastels, glass and more, you will truly enjoy this dynamic array of talent,” she said.
The museum is also offering a Peoples Choice Award so attendees can vote for their favorite piece.
Because the artists are regional, visitors can personally appreciate their talents.
“Metro Montage XIII really portrays the excellent talent that Cobb County and surrounding areas have. We are fortunate to be able to display this incredible talent in such a beautiful facility and welcome all to come and judge for themselves a truly unique and diverse exhibition,” Macaulay said.
