Obama should recall fable of Indian, snake

DEAR EDITOR:

Does it not seem that our president sided with the Muslim Brotherhood in the overthrow of Mubarak and now is siding with them in the present Egyptian situation?

The “Arab Spring” was to overthrow the dictators and usher in democratic governments but the opposite has happened. From the beginning, our president has apologized to the Muslim hierarchies rather than standing firm on the principles of freedom and morality for all. Dictators like Mubarak are also the lesser of evils but better than any Muslim government that will rid the country of Jews, Christians and all non-Muslim “infidels.”

About a half century ago when communism appeared to be taking over the world, some religions coined the expression, “It is better to be Red than dead.” As bad as Communist governments are, Islamic governments are far worse, as evidenced by Morsi’s government burning churches, killing “infidels” and installing Sharia law.

I hope our president realizes this and condemns the Brotherhood and other Islamic radicals. Remember the fable of the Indian and the snake. The snake said he would not bite the Indian if he picked him up, but did, and then said, “You knew I was a snake when you picked me up.” Everyone should know by now that the Brotherhood will be true to their calling which is to conquer the world for Allah.

Mr. Storey once again exhibits his ignorance. Obama never apologized to "Muslim hierarchies."

That's a far right myth that has long-since been debunked.

Mubarak was overthrown by secular and Muslim Egyptians. Free and fair elections were held and Morsi, the MB candidate won. Morsi was attempting to consolidate power when he was removed from in a military coup. His MB supporters took to the streets with bloody consequences. The MB, BTW,

is something like an Islamic version of the Christian Coalition, a religious-political movement that's been around for more than 80 years.

Obama has taken no side on this other than to say the blood shed must stop and democracy must rule.

Look at Foley the Liberal Obama supporter equating the Muslim Brotherhood to the Christian Coalition.

The question is Egypt, not American Christians. So let's stay on task, Foley. Obama enabled the MB in Egypt just as he enables the American version here to undermine and destroy our country from within. That is their own, on-the-record goal by the way.

Obama's Cairo speech in 2009 was the ultimate appeasement towards militant Islam yet his ambassador and regime is hated throughout Egypt. Way to go Mr. President. You destabilized another important region of the world through your incompetence.

Obama and his staff and our media have ignored the burning of orphanages, the methodic assassinations of coptic Christian leaders and parishioners and the evil Islamists whose entire ideology is antithetic to the terms Democracy and Freedom.

He's only fooling the 47 percent. The rest of us know he's really rooting for the Islamists because the sound of their prayers is "the most beautiful sound in the world" to him.

@ Samuel Adams - care to provide proof of "methodic assassinations of Coptic leaders and parishioners" or were you just watching the anti-Islamic YouTube video?
