Michael Charles Griffin of Canton, GA and previously in East Cobb (Marietta, GA); passed away on August 13, 2013 at Northside Hospital from cardiac arrest. Michael was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 17, 1948, son of Ralph C. Griffin and Eleanor (Schulte) Griffin. He attended the majority of his high school at Worthington High School in Worthington, Ohio, where he married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Lee Garrett, on August 23, 1969. He finished up his senior year at Berea High School in Berea, Ohio. Michael played football, baseball and was a member of the band. Michael continued his education at the Ohio State University where he worked toward his Marketing degree. Michael started his career with Borden Dairy in Columbus, Ohio as a salesman and then later joined his father at Nationwide Marketing in Roswell, GA. He was the founder and CEO of Nature’s Finest Products; a specialty organic coffee company, which he passionately worked for the larger part of his career. Michael retired August of 2011 and moved to Canton, GA to be closer to his beloved grandchildren. Michael is survived by Sandra Griffin (spouse); Eleanor Griffin (mother); Barbara Garrett (mother in-law); two sisters-Nancy Mitchell and Carol Campbell; three children-Geoff Griffin (Leslie Griffin-spouse) Jason Griffin (Andrea Griffin- spouse) and Ashley Norton (Ryan Norton- spouse) ;Eight grandchildren- Kailey Griffin, Griffin Norton, Samantha Griffin, Camden Griffin, Braeden Norton, Cole Griffin, Mary Ella Norton, and Eva Caroline Griffin. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, extended family, and close personal friends. A gathering in honor of Michael Griffin will be held at Woodmont Country Club- 3105 Gaddis Rd., Canton, GA. 30115 on Sunday, August 25 from 3 PM - 5 PM.
