Betty M. Turner, 81, of Powder Springs, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory Macland Chapel, Powder Springs, with Rev. Tommy Willingham, Rev. David Blackwood, and Rev. Charlie Marus officiating. Mrs. Turner was born in Chatsworth, GA and grew up in North Carolina & South Carolina. She has been living in Powder Springs for the past eight years. She worked for Lockheed ten years, member of McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church in Powder Springs, a member of the Adult Fellowship Sunday School Class, and a member of the Macland Seniors. Her life was her husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carl J. “Joe” Turner of Powder Springs; one daughter, Denise Turner Gadd and husband, Richard, of Powder Springs; one son, Carl J. Turner, Jr. and wife, Bridget, of Decatur; one sister, Nita Aycock and husband, Charles, of Marietta; two grandchildren, Chelsea Turner & Cori Turner.
