Tony Holman, 50, of Woodstock died in a car accident on Interstate 75 Wednesday morning, according to Officer David Baldwin of the Marietta Police Department.

Holman was traveling south bound on the interstate in the right lane at about 8:20 a.m. when his car left the pavement, struck the right wall and traveled back into the main lanes. His vehicle struck an Acura sport-utility vehicle and a semi-trailer truck.

Those vehicles had “minor to moderate” damage and the drivers were not injured, Baldwin said.

Holman was rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation and no cause of death has been determined. Baldwin said it isn’t known yet if medical problems played a role in the accident.

No charges are expected to be filed.
