Pam Wade, 62, of Marietta, GA died peacefully on July 16, 2013 after a courageous 40 year battle with Lupus and its effects. She was born on September 29, 1950 in Memphis, Tennessee, daughter of the late James and Jettie Queen. Pam is survived by her husband, Orie V. Wade; sister, Linda (Michael) Hanna; nephew, Paul and his wife Kathryn. Other survivors include her mother-in-law, Mitzi Wade; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Greg) Padgett and Polly (Jim) Fisher; nephews, Alex Padgett and Andrew Fisher; and nieces, Katy Padgett and Ashley Fisher. Pam attended the Mississippi University for Women and Valdosta State University. She was a member of the Atlanta Yacht Club and was actively involved in her neighborhood. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 21st, from 4-6 pm at the Atlanta Yacht Club located in Acworth, Georgia. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN or the Clute Barrow Nelson Life Foundation, Milledge Heights, Athens, GA 30606.
