Police in Woodstock are asking for help locating and identifying suspects in an identity and credit card fraud ring.

Sgt. Randy Milligan, spokesman for the Woodstock Police Department, said in a news release Friday that detectives are hoping the public can help locate James Wesley Shaw, believed to be in the Lawrenceville area and David C. Wallace and Steven Dwayne Pryor Jr., both believed to be of Kennesaw. There are three other suspects whom police hope the public can help identify and locate, Milligan said.

Woodstock Police were notified of the possible criminal activity by investigators with Discover Card.

“Information provided by Discover pointed investigators to several locations where fraudulent activity occurred in Cherokee and Cobb County,” Milligan said.

In Cherokee County, the activity is specific to Woodstock.

Milligan said detectives were able to identify three out of six suspects as well as two of the vehicles that were used by the suspects.

“Detectives were able to develop leads that point to the owner of one of the vehicles and possibly the girlfriend of one of the suspects,” he said.

Anyone with information on the location or the identity of these suspects, is asked to call the Woodstock Police Department at (770) 592-6000.
