A woman and a 5-year-old child were carjacked outside of a Marietta residence about 4:50 p.m. Sunday, authorities say.

The victim buckled the child into a backseat and then began to load items into the vehicle’s trunk when, she said, a black man approached, unbuckled the child and allegedly drove away with the 2013 Volvo sport-utility vehicle, according to officials.

The woman and child were unharmed and no arrests have been made, said Marietta Police spokesman Officer David Baldwin.
