Police: Child saw baseball bat beating

Erica McCrary of Austell is accused of beating a man with a baseball bat in the presence of a 3-year-old girl.

McCrary and the victim were allegedly arguing when McCrary hit the victim on the back of the head with a baseball bat, causing the victim to lose consciousness and vomit uncontrollably. A 3-year-old girl witnessed the attack, according to the arrest warrant.

McCrary was arrested by the Cobb County Police on July 2 and jailed on a $30,000 bond. She was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, a felony, and two counts of cruelty to a child in the third degree, a misdemeanor.
