As a frequent hiker on the Kennesaw Mountain trails, I would like to ask users of that wonderful trail system several questions:
How many times have you ever seen a candy wrapper or trash on the trails? Almost never.
How many times have you come across dog poo? Very rarely and usually it is in a bag which the owner picks up on the way back to their car.
How many times have you come to an 18-inch wide section of the trail only to find 30 lbs. of horse droppings dead center in the trail? About every 1,000 feet. These people have no respect for the rest of us that use and tend to the trails. They use them as an extension of their commercial enterprise, pay no user fees and don’t have the common courtesy to clean up after themselves.
To Ms. Green, if you can afford a six-acre horse farm, you can afford a shovel. Get off your horse and pick up after yourself like the rest of us.
