Civil War researcher coming to Cobb

Civil War researcher and historian Brad Quinlin will be giving a lecture Friday, June 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Marietta Museum of History.

Quinlin will reveal forgotten stories of soldiers from his newest book, “Under the Shadow of a Grim and Silent Kennesaw: Letters from the Kennesaw Mountain Battle Line.”

The evening will highlight his recent research in the National Archives uncovering lost information on Cobb County.

Quinlin has spent many years researching several different battles during the Civil War that happened in Cobb County. He lectures, provides battlefield tours, re-enactments and volunteers at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. Admission is $5 but free for museum members.
