On June 8, Cameron thought she was going to dinner to celebrate at Muss & Turner’s in Smyrna with Travis, college friend Winston Wiant and husband James. When the couples arrived, they were escorted to a private room at the restaurant where Cameron was surprised by an intimate group of friends — all orchestrated by Travis.
Cameron’s birthday is June 6.
Krista and Todd Baughan, Shannon and Ford Bohannon, Betsy and Robert Kelley, Jennifer and Mark McMahon, Melissa and Chris Poston, Ami and Wade Stephens, and Winston and James Wiant joined the celebration.
On Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m., Don Lillie of Lillie Glassblowers in Smyrna will be giving a presentation at the Marietta Museum of History on his business and mastering his technique.
Formed in 1955, Lillie Glassblowers was the first professional lampworkers in Georgia. Lillie Glassblowers is the most prominent and complete glass blowing company in the Southeast, making individually handcrafting exquisite glass sculptures.
Don’s son, Thom, works in the business as well, creating unique glassblown pieces. Staying ahead of the curve, father and son constantly try new and innovative ways to create glass-blown pieces.
Tickets are $5 for non-members and free for museum members.
