A Smyrna man is accused of stalking his former girlfriend and living in her neighbor’s bushes and tall brush in order to spy on her.

William Brazel reportedly established a camp on his neighbor’s property, from which he used binoculars to watch the victim. After Brazel was arrested in May 2013 on charges of stalking the victim, the victim told her neighbors to be on the lookout for him out of fear that he would resume stalking her, according to the arrest warrant. Police say Brazel admitted to stalking the victim, stating he “had to talk to” her.

Brazel was arrested by Cobb County Police on June 10 and is being held in jail because he is believed to be a danger to the victim. He was charged with stalking and trespassing
