Cobb County Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Marietta bank at gunpoint Thursday morning.

According to investigators, the suspect went into the Fifth Third Bank at 1920 Powers Ferry Road around 10:40 a.m. and immediately approached a teller demanding money.

“While the teller was gathering the money, the robber indicated that he had a weapon but never presented one,” according to a news release. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the bank in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, about 5-foot, 10 inches and weighing around 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, Chicago Bulls baseball cap, sunglasses and a long, curly wig.

Anyone with information is asked to call (770) 499-3945.
