Luxury Wash has more in mind than just cleaning cars. The Smyrna establishment also gives back to the community. Through June the business is raising money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experienced detailers provide everything from a simple hand wash to white glove detail service. “We pretty much offer everything. There’s not actually anything we can’t do for customers from shampooing to waxing to a basic car wash. We go above and beyond for cars,” said owner Bentley Brandon.

Brandon started working at Luxury Car Wash when he was 13 and purchased the business three years ago. Having grown up in Cobb County, community is important to the 28-year-old Powder Springs resident.

Brandon offers a fundraising program through the business.

“To me, car wash is pretty big. Nobody in my eyes has stepped up and said that they want to give back. A typical car wash was to wash cars and that’s it. We’re more than that,” Brandon said.

Brandon started the fundraising effort after seeing youth trying to raise money with a car wash. “I thought it would be a great thing through my business to help with fundraisers and allow the people like the kids not to have to worry about actually washing cars. They still will get the same benefits but they can let the professionals do it,” Brandon said.

Over the years, he has done fundraising for different churches, schools and other organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation. He has chosen a Children’s Health Care Fundraiser because he had a close friend who used Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and the Ronald McDonald House provided shelter during their stay.

“I like to do things that are personal to me. I see how much (Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta) gives back. It’s tremendous what they do for the public,” Brandon said.

During May and June, for each vehicle serviced by Luxury Car Wash, the business donates $2 to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

“I feel like we are machines. I feel like we can service more cars than machines. My goal is to donate between $2,500 to $3,000,” he said.

A ceremony to present the funds raised for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is planned for July 1.

“I think we can reach that goal,” Brandon said.

Luxury Wash is at 3485 South Cobb Drive, Smyrna. The business is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. For more information, visit www.luxurywash.webs.com or call (770) 803-0084.
