Mrs. Billie Jean Roach, age 83 of Marietta, died Friday, May 24. A native of Englewood, Tenn., Mrs. Roach retired after many years of service as a nurse with the WellStar Medical Group. She was a long-time member of Roswell Street Baptist Church where she was active in the Sunday school ministry. Mrs. Roach is survived by her husband of 65 years, Glenn Roach; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Bruce Greenberg of Las Vegas, Nev.; Becky and George Hatfield of Kennesaw; Mary Hoehn of Marietta; Nancy and Danny Cox of Freeburg, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 28 at 2 p.m. at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta with Dr. William Camp officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, from 12 noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
