A Woodstock man is charged with embezzling from World Import Co., a company in Kennesaw that imports consumer products from China.

Brett Dexter allegedly stole $4,500 from the company. The company noticed the money was missing May 1, according to the arrest warrant. Police say Dexter said he was experiencing financial hardship and said he owed money to his brother, the IRS and owed child support payments.

Dexter was arrested by the Kennesaw Police Department on May 17 and jailed on a $5,000 bond.
