CANTON — Detectives have named two Atlanta men as two of three suspects who allegedly robbed a Canton gas station in late March and made off with 45 cartons of cigarettes.

Larry Hightower, 33, and Marcus Dominique Strozier, 21, both of Atlanta, now have warrants for their arrest in the robbery of a RaceTrac gas station on the 4000 block of Marietta Highway on March 27, Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday in a news release.

Hightower is already in police custody at the Cobb County Detention Center where he is being held on a probation violation, Baker said.

Baker said investigators believe Strozier is somewhere in the Atlanta area but has yet to be located.

The third suspect has not been identified, Baker said.

Baker said both men are wanted for robbery and false imprisonment in the incident, in which three men entered the gas station and asked a clerk behind the counter to get out of their way as they loaded a trash bag with 45 cartons of cigarettes, worth about $2,200. Each of the three suspects was caught on the gas station’s surveillance camera, he said. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (770) 928-0239
