Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly exposed himself to a 10-year-old child who had just gotten off the school bus in Cherokee County.

The incident took place around 4:14 p.m. in the Twin Pines subdivision off of Kellogg Creek Road, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's office.

The man was driving behind the school bus. After the girl got off of the bus, the man pulled in front of her and called her over. He then exposed himself and made inappropriate comments, police said. The victim said she screamed and ran home.

Deputies responded to the scene but could not locate the man.

The suspect is described as a heavy set white man with salt and pepper hair. He was said to be driving an older model white foreign-made sedan.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
