A Douglasville woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to run over her husband with her car at a gas station in Austell but hit a nearby concession stand instead.

Atavis Andrews was charged with felony aggravated assault after being accused of driving her Ford Expedition, with her six children inside, toward her husband after an argument April 12.

According to an arrest warrant, Andrews got into an argument with her husband, Lamont Bryant, at the Citgo station at 152 Riverside Parkway in Austell. When he attempted to leave, she got inside her vehicle and drove toward him trying to block or injure him, while her children were inside the car screaming.

The car missed Bryant but struck a wooden concession stand on the property and slightly injured an attendant inside.

Andrews was also charged with reckless conduct, third degree cruelty to children and child restraint violation.

She was released on a $25,000 bond.
