ATLANTA - North Georgia and the metro area could see severe storms roll through late Thursday night.
According to FOX 5 Storm Team meteorologist Joanne Feldman, a storm system will move in from the west, creating a few isolated pop up storms at around 2 p.m, and some of those could be severe. The heaviest rain and storms will move into northwest Georgia at around midnight, and move into the metro area around 2 p.m.
Feldman says the main threat from the storms will be damaging winds. Hail and isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
The storms should end before sunrise on Friday, says Feldman.
