The Keep Kennesaw Beautiful committee will host a community recycling day April 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The committee is collecting electronics and metal and also will shred documents at the public works facility on Moon Station Road.

“This is a great opportunity for some spring cleaning,” said Miranda Jones, executive director of Keep Kennesaw Beautiful. “Along with old electronics, we can now accept metal items made out of steel, aluminum, brass, lead and copper.”

The group will accept computer equipment, telephones, cameras, VCRs, microwaves, stereos, printers, refrigerators, washers and dryers. All items will be demolished.

Keep Kennesaw Beautiful will not accept humidifiers, vacuum cleaners, tires, household trash or non-electric equipment.

Attendees can also bring canned food items to donate to MUST Ministries to benefit less fortunate people in Cobb and Cherokee counties.
