September 13, 1948 - March 16, 2013. Daniel James Le May, 64, retired former Business License auditor and Internal Audit Director for Cobb County Government passed away March 16, 2013. Dan was known for his great sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need. Originally from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, he had lived in the Marietta and Acworth areas for the past 45 years. He is survived by his wife Jan Le May, son Craig Le May, daughter Lisa Le May, mother Vivian Le May, sister Marilyn Le May, and brother Tom Le May. Also surviving him are mother-in-law June Trace, sister-in-laws Andrea Whitfield, Barbara Bowling, and Tina Johnson, and brothers-in-law Philip Johnson and Doug Bowling, niece Lindsey Johnson, seven nephews: Grant and Brad Whitfield, Branson Bowling, Scott and Jaime Le May, and Walker and Patrick Gross. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Daniel Le May to the American Heart Association, S.E. Affiliate, P.O. Box 409410, Atlanta, GA 30384-9410. The family will receive visitors at Mayes-Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta from 6:00 until 8:00 on Tuesday evening, March 19, 2013, and the memorial service will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
