Frances F. Smith, 83, of Marietta, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 12, 12 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Dr. Kent Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Cheatham Hill Cemetery in Marietta. Mrs. Smith was an Accountant for Georgia Tech and retired in 1990. She had many hobbies that included painting, crafts, and traveling with the Mount Paran group. Frances was a member of the Atlanta Dogwood Chapter of the National Society of Decorative Painters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Doyle E. Smith. Mrs. Smith will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend by all who knew her. Those whom survive are her son, John T. Smith of Dallas; Daughters, Teresa Solomon of Ball Ground, Leann Meadows of Acworth, and Emily Morrell of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Christopher Bennett, Ashley O’Brien, Steven Meadows, Benjamin Meadows, Daniel Smith, Sam Morrell, and Hannah Morrell; great grandchild, Kinsley Lowery. The family will receive friends Monday, March 11 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm at the funeral home.
