The members will revisit the proposed ordinance changes at a later meeting, City Clerk Regina Russell said.
Also during the Thursday meeting, the board of Alderman approved an agreement with TK Consulting Engineering LLC, for design work and construction of a parking lot for the Acworth Sports Complex. The SPLOST-funded redesign will cost $1,500 of pre-collected funds, Russell said.
In other business, Mayor Tommy Allegood declared March Red Cross Month and honored those who volunteer and help meet the needs of the city. American Red Cross has been doing life-saving activities and providing training, international and local disaster relief, said Red Cross spokesman Michael Brown.
City Manager Brian Bulthuis announced the date for the annual Easter egg hunt will be March 22, and the bunny will descent from a parachute.
On March 15, Allegood will provide a state of the city address to the North Cobb Rotary at Pine Tree Country Club in Kennesaw at 7:30 a.m.
