Geraldine Barmore Clayton, 80 of Cartersville (formerly of Marietta) died on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Tommy Lockhart and Rev. Sammy Burgess officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Mountain View Park Cemetery for the family. Mrs. Clayton is survived by her husband, Don Clayton; her children, Russell Clayton, Melinda Jett, and Lori Prater; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Neil Barmore. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Athos Menaboni Conservation Fund/Troup County Archives, In care of: Mrs. Kaye Minchew, Troup County Archives, 136 Main Street, Post Office Box 1051, LaGrange, Georgia 30241 or the Morning View Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends from 4 -7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
