One of the men hit a bouncer over the head with a beer bottle and pulled out a gun while the second got into a fight, according to the arrest warrant.
The incident reportedly occurred at Runaround Sue’s off the Church Street Extension in Marietta about 3 a.m. Thursday.
Aslong Antwain Pierre, 20, and Mark Lenard Pratt, 21, were arrested Thursday and remain in the Cobb County Jail without bond.
Pierre was charged with felony aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Pratt was charged with misdemeanor battery.
Pierre is accused of hitting a bouncer over the head with a beer bottle as the bouncer was attempting to break up a fight.
He allegedly then went and got a pistol out of a car in the bar parking lot and was walking back toward the bar when an officer stopped him.
The warrant states that Pierre was convicted in May 2010 on charges of theft by receiving and battery of a school teacher.
Pratt is accused of getting involved in a fight that caused the bouncer to be injured.
“(Pratt) began punching the victim in the face and the back of the head, causing swelling and bruising around the eyes,” according to the warrant.
Officer David Baldwin with Marietta Police said he could not say how the injured bouncer was doing, but, according to the police report, he sustained a “substantial laceration” on the top of his head and his left eye was swollen and bruised. His face was covered in blood, it stated.
