Four men are being held in the Cobb County Jail without bond on charges they had large amounts of methamphetamine. They are also being held on federal immigration violations.
Jose Juan Perez-Diaz and Alier Pineda-Sanchez, both of Mableton; Jose Edgardo Melendez of Sandy Springs; and Gerardo Milian Nagera of Cartersville; have all been arrested on charges of felony trafficking methamphetamine.
Perez-Diaz was arrested Feb. 17 and the other three on Feb. 16.
According to arrest warrants, the four are accused of selling, manufacturing, delivering and bringing to Georgia 24 kilograms, or 52.9 pounds, of meth.
The case is being investigated and handled by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency’s Atlanta Field Division.
Special Agent Chuvalo J. Truesdell with the federal office declined to comment on the case.
