GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Investigators have announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a Gainesville teenager's killer.
Sixteen-year-old Hannah Truelove's body was found in the woods behind her apartment complex near the shore of Lake Lanier on Aug. 24. Authorities said she had been stabbed multiple times.
The Times of Gainesville reports that Gov. Nathan Deal signed an executive order authorizing a $1,000 reward for information.
Hall County sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that investigators are looking for a late 1990s to early 2000s four-door passenger car, possibly a Chevrolet or Dodge. He said the vehicle -- believed to be light silver with substantial front-end damage -- may have been in the area during the evening hours of Aug. 23.
