Rochelle Brown, 53, died at WellStar Kennestone Hospital Sunday after being hit by three cars just before 7 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of North Marietta Parkway and Allgood Road.
Officer Dave Baldwin with Marietta Police said they are asking for the public’s help in identifying two other drivers who hit Brown after the initial driver struck her.
“Evidently the first person who struck her remained at the scene, and then two other drivers struck her but kept driving,” he said.
Marietta Officer Michael Gardner said Brown sustained injuries internally and to her face, torso and head.
“We are reaching out to anyone who may have struck anything on North Marietta Parkway or anyone who isn’t sure what they struck,” he said.
Gardner said they are not releasing the name of the first driver at this time and that they don’t plan on pressing charges against him or her.
He said the driver wasn’t injured in the accident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Stephen Miller at (770) 794-5357.
