Former Cobb Commissioner and Cobb Water System Manager, Harry Ingram passed away on February 8, 2013. Services will be held at Greers Chapel Baptist Church in Kennesaw on Sunday, February 10, 2013. He will lie in state from 2pm to 3pm with the funeral service beginning at 3pm. The services will be officiated by Rev. David Huggins and Rev. Larry Conner. Burial will follow services at Greers Chapel Cemetery. Harry was a tireless servant of Cobb County. A retired Navy veteran, he served two terms on the first multi-member Cobb Board of Commissioners. He was also elected as a member of the Smyrna City Council and served as the first Cobb County Administrator. Harry managed the County Revenue Collection department before being appointed as Manager of the Cobb County Water System, which he managed for almost two decades. He was often referred to as the water czar. As one of the original members of the Cobb Hospital Authority, he was instrumental in the building of WellStar Cobb Hospital. Upon retiring from the Cobb Water System, he devoted his time to serving others in the county through the Kiwanis. Harry helped organize and start the Marietta Golden “K” Kiwanis Club where he served as a director, treasurer and president. He later was the lead organizer to charter the Marietta Lost Mountain Kiwanis Club where he also served as president and club director. Harry was instrumental in organizing Covered Bridge Kiwanis and the Kiwanis Club of Kennworth. He was elected as Lt. Governor of the 16th division of the Georgia District Kiwanis. Harry is survived by his former wife, Deloris. Children, Gena Ingram, Robert and Kelly Brackett Ingram, Daryl and Lisa McWilliams Ingram, Marc and Cindy Rickman Fuglio. Grandchildren: Vicki and Greg Rogers, Ryan and Pamela Ingram, Lauren and Lucas Gaines, Mallory Ingram, Morgan and David Walraven, Cole Ingram, Kristina Leal, Micah Leal, Justin and Andrea Fuglio, and Jenica and Kris Wootton, seven great children and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Sister, Eve and Herb Windham, Brothers: Edward Ingram, Joe and Flo Ingram, Ralph and Gael Ingram, and Tommy Ingram.
