I read with real disgust Rich Pellegrino’s letter to the editor of Jan. 29, in which he referred to Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren as a “rogue.” According to Pellegrino, “It is time … to revert to law enforcement professionals rather than politicians.”
Talk about irony. Mr. Pellegrino is straining at a gnat, while he swallows a camel. In his enlightened tirade against Sheriff Warren, he conveniently ignores the rogue president who thinks he is a law enforcement official, ordering the assassination of American citizens overseas and passing laws by fiat in an unapologetic attempt to bypass the Constitution. Even the court system said so last week, declaring that he had violated the law with his recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board. And he has circumvented the Constitution with Obamacare, the war in Libya, and by campaigning from the White House.
I don’t know Sheriff Warren. And I don’t like the Cobb County police, having been being repeatedly harassed by them in 2005-’06. But at least Warren isn’t engaged in gun running or winking at Vladimir Putin while promising drastic cuts in our nuclear arsenal. And he isn’t giving the Chinese land in exchange for debt forgiveness, so that they can engage in so-called “farming” and “scientific studies.”
With no offense to Sheriff Warren, Pellegrino is majoring in the minors. And whether he or Obama like it, the Second Amendment is still the law of the land.

I agree with admiration of Sheriff Warren as a trail blazer who applied for 287(g) certification when no other Sheriff stepped forward. It was not easy for him to be first.
Pellegrino? Well, according to the current laws in our country it is a felony to aid and abet illegal aliens. Perhaps he should find productive employment.
Excellent letter. Sheriff Warren supports our Constitution. Warren took an oath to do so. What oath did Pellegrino take to assume his job that supports outside people against Americans??
"I will protect all who are in our country illegally against American Law Enforcement officers"?
