SMYRNA – Six men are in the Cobb County Jail for reportedly being in possession of 107 grams of heroin.

Charged with felony trafficking heroin are Wendell Louis Strong, 19, of Montgomery, Ala.; Aurelius Madison, 22, and Jamell Markee Dukes, 21, both of Smyrna; Derrick Jarrod McDonald, 20, and Christopher Alexander Bell, 24, both of Marietta; and Bernard Mathis, 23, of Austell.

Dukes was also charged with felony theft by receiving a firearm.

They all remain in the Cobb Jail without bond.

According to arrest warrants, the six men are accused of selling, manufacturing, delivering and possession 107.1 grams of heroin. In addition to the drugs, police also confiscated four digital scales and a “large” amount of plastic bags from the apartment in the 2300 block of Cobb Parkway in Smyrna around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

“Police received information from a confidential source that stated they have purchased heroin at this apartment 10 times, and different black males have sold to them each time,” according to the warrants.

The arrest warrant for Dukes also states that a .45-caliber pistol, which was registered in someone else’s name, was located in his bedroom. The gun was reportedly stolen on Aug. 21, 2012, in Cobb County.
